The「很」(hěn) pattern: Put 很 before an adjective = "very [adj]". 「很忙」= very busy, 「很累」= very tired, 「很好」= very good, 「很贵」= very expensive. It's the most useful pattern in Mandarin — learn this and you can describe almost anything.
